Malay Project Demo

Dear All

I will demo how to blog in the first and second lecture.

I am demonstrating a 50-word narrative at level 1 Malay for this video linked below:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k4Xci2YSxqE

Hidup Biasa

Semua orang sayang negara Singapura.

Translation to assist comprehension:

Hidup Biasa (Normal Life)

Video ini sangat baik.  (This video is very good)

Saya boleh dengar lagu kanak-kanak.  (I can listen to a nursery song).

Bahasa Melayunya ini bercampur bahasa Inggeris. (Its Malay is mixed with English)

Cerita ini tentang hidup orang Melayu.  (The story is about Malays’ life)

Mereka suka ketupat dan wau bulan. (They like ketupat and wau bulan, i.e. big kite)

Anak muda suka bernyanyi dengan guitar.  (Youngsters enjoy singing with guitar)

Ada yang suka berehat kerana mereka tidak suka hidup cepat.

(Some like to rest because they dislike fast life)

Semua orang sayang negara Singapura.

(All these people love Singapore)

This is to show that the project is simply writing about a digital form.

Level 1 Students do not have to blog daily entries but they could for personal learning practice.

There is another entry reflecting on the experience of blogging Malay, either in the same entry, or in a new entry.

Each entry may range from 40-50 words.

Please provide the URL to TA tutors for grading by 31 Mar.

You may use Youtube, digital photo or comic strips, etc.

I might create blog pages according to TA groups as repository of URL for record sake.

Terima kasih
